Dr. Ron Paul, Chairman, Campaign for Liberty

FLSRonPaulDr. Ron Paul champions the cause of limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies based on commodity-backed currency.  He served as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force and delivered more than 4,000 babies as a specialist in obstetrics/gynecology.

His books include The Revolution: A Manifesto (2008), End The Fed (2009), Liberty Defined: 50 Essential Issues That Affect Our Freedom (2011), and The School Revolution: A New Answer for Our Broken Education System (2013).


U.S. Senator Rand Paul, Kentucky

FLSRandPaulDr. Rand Paul graduated from Duke Medical School and completed his residency in ophthalmology at Duke University Medical Center. In 1995, he founded the Southern Kentucky Lions Eye Clinic, an organization that provides eye exams and surgery to needy families and individuals. In 2010, he was elected to the U.S. Senate, where he has gained a national reputation for promoting constitutional government, working to restrain spending, standing up for the Second Amendment, and defending civil liberties.

U. S. Rep. Ted Yoho, Florida CD3

FLSTedYohoRep. Ted Yoho has practiced veterinary medicine for over 28 years. He was elected to Congress in 2012 after pulling off a major upset against a long term incumbent. He is for reducing spending and reducing taxes. He is opposed to raising the debt ceiling unless significant spending cuts are made. He is also opposed to earmarks in legislation. Rep. Yoho has taken a term limits pledge.  He will only serve four terms (8 years) and will support a constitutional amendment that would enact congressional term limits.

Rep. Yoho is a member of the Tea Party Caucus and the House Liberty Caucus.


Ken Cuccinelli, former A. G. Virginia

FLSKenCuccinelliKen Cuccinelli served as Senator in the Virginia legislature and elected as Virginia Attorney General in 2009. In 2010 he filed a lawsuit (Virginia v. Sebelius) challenging the constitutionality of ObamaCare.

In 2012 he supported an eminent domain amendment that was overwhelmingly approved by the voters. He is currently participating in Sen. Rand Paul’s class action lawsuit against NSA spying on American citizens.

John Tate, President, Campaign for Liberty

FLSJohnTateJohn Tate has been President of Campaign for Liberty since its founding in 2008.  He was Campaign Manager for the Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign and National Policy Director for Ron Paul 2008.  He has been a top adviser to Rand Paul since his 2010 Senate campaign and he previously served as a Vice President for The Leadership Institute and National Right to Work.

John has spent the last 28 years working in the political, lobbying, and non-profit world in the areas of political strategy, grassroots activism, state and federal legislation, and non-profit management.


Elizabeth Newberry, Campaign for Liberty  Foundation

FLSBethNewberryElizabeth Newberry is Executive Director of Campaign for Liberty Foundation.

The goal of the Campaign for Liberty Foundation is to award deserving, pro-liberty students with scholarships that will help to defray some of their education costs. The Ron Paul scholarship is awarded once a year to three liberty-minded, undergraduate or soon to be undergraduate, students.  This is a one-time scholarship, meaning the students who are granted the scholarship will only receive it for that year of college, and no student can receive the scholarship two years in a row.


Bruce Fein, Lawyer, Author

FLSBruceFeinBruce Fein specializes in constitutional and international law. He served as Associate Deputy Attorney General in the Reagan Administration and general counsel to the Federal Communications Commission.  He has also worked for the American Enterprise Institute and the Heritage Foundation, both conservative think tanks, as an analyst and commentator. He is the founder of Bruce Fein & Associates, Inc., and he is also a principal for the Lichfield Group, a government affairs and public relations firm.  Campaign for Liberty published Mr. Fein’s “American Empire: Before the Fall” in 2010.


Megan Stiles , Communications, Campaign for Liberty

FLSMeganStilesMegan Stiles joined Campaign for Liberty as Communications Director in January 2013.

Prior to joining Campaign for Liberty, Ms. Stiles was the Communications Director for the Republican Party of Iowa for the 2012 general election.

She was the National Media Coordinator for the Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign and worked on Senator Rand Paul’s successful 2010 Senate bid.  Ms. Stiles holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia.


Joshua Parrish, Young Americans for Liberty


Joshua Parrish is the Southeast Regional Director for Young Americans for Liberty. He attended the University of Central Florida where he studied Pre-Clinical Health Sciences.  He is part of Young Americans for Liberty’s leadership team and serves as Southeast Regional Director. He was the Co-Founder of the UCF Chapter of Young Americans for Liberty and the former Seminole County Campaign for Liberty coordinator.

Since joining the YAL team in 2011 he has personally started over 100 YAL chapters and trained over 1,000 student activists.

He has been a liberty activist since 2008 and specializes in political theater and satire.


Mark Cross, Florida Campaign for Liberty

FLSMarkCross1Mark Cross is an Enrolled Agent, licensed by the U.S. Treasury Dept. He provides tax services, business consulting, IRS representation, and problem resolution for individuals, business, and nonprofit groups.  Mark has provided political consulting and fundraising services to many candidates and elected officials on the local, state, federal, and presidential levels. He worked for the Ron Paul Presidential Campaign in 2008.  Florida Campaign for Liberty was formed in 2009 with Mark as chairman.  After a leave of absence to work with the Ron Paul Presidential Campaign in 2012, Mark is back with FLC4L as Executive Director.


Matt Kibbe, CEO of FreedomWorks

FLSMattKibbeMatt Kibbe is the President and CEO of FreedomWorks. He has been with the organization for over 15 years. An economist by training, Kibbe is a well-respected national public policy expert. He also serves as Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Austrian Economic Center in Vienna, Austria.

In 2012 Kibbe authored Hostile Takeover: Resisting Centralized Government’s Stranglehold on America. His new book Don’t Hurt People and Don’t Take Their Stuff: A Libertarian Manifesto will be released April 1.  He will be available for a book signing Sunday afternoon.


Ben Swann, Journalist

Doug Wead, Author, Presidential Historian

Doug Wead  is a presidential historian, FLSDougWeadWhiteHousephilanthropist and public speaker. He was Special Assistant to U.S. President George H. W. Bush, and is the author of more than thirty books that have collectively sold over 29 million copies, including the New York Times best-seller All the Presidents’ Children: Triumph and Tragedy in the Lives of the First Families. He has authored a sequel which examines the parenting of presidents of the United States, The Raising of a President: The Mothers and Fathers of Our Nation’s Leaders. In 2012 he served as senior adviser to the Ron Paul Campaign.

Jack Hunter, Radio Host, Columnist

Rand Paul and assisted former Sen. Jim De Mint with his book Now or Never: How to Save America from Economic Collapse (2012).  His writing has appeared at The American Spectator, CampaignforLiberty.com, Lewrockwell.com and Young American Revolution, the official magazine of Young Americans for Liberty.


Jason Hoyt, American Patriots Radio

Justin Pearson,  Institute for Justice Florida

Justin is currently one of the lead attorneys challenging minimum limousine fare requirements in Tampa as well as unconstitutional street vendor restrictions in Hialeah, Fla.  Additionally, Justin has testified to the Florida Senate Committee on Regulated Industries about the constitutional implications of occupational licensing laws and has been involved in multiple activism projects on behalf of food trucks.


Jonathan Bydlak, Coalition to Reduce Spending

He served as the Director of Fundraising for Ron Paul’s 2008 Presidential Campaign, where he managed a fundraising operation raising over $35 million, chiefly online via the application of social media.

He is also the founder of the independent consulting firm Bydlak & Associates, LLC, with clients ranging from federal and state political candidates to advocacy organizations and other non-profits.


Jordan Page, Singer / Songwriter

David Warrington, Attorney

He currently serves as General Counsel for Campaign for Liberty.  Mr. Warrington is a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

 John Meese, Bitcoin

John also has served as the State Director for FreedomWorks; the pro-free market organization as well as Deputy Director of Florida Stop Lawsuit Abuse. While in Tallahassee, John has represented such groups as Florida Taxpayers Union, Cut Property Taxes Now, The Second Amendment Coalition of Florida and The Florida Campaign for Liberty.

John teaches activists training schools, is a frequent guest on radio talk shows and has written numerous articles promoting the cause of individual liberty.


Hon. John P. Quiñones VI, Attorney

FLSJohnQuinonesJohn P. Quiñones VI  was the first Republican of Puerto Rican ancestry elected to the Florida House of Representatives, serving from 2002 to 2007, and is currently a member of the Osceola County Commission. He is an attorney and a vocal opponent of red light cameras.

Quiñones represented the 49th District of the state, which stretched between Osceola and Orange counties. He resigned his seat to concentrate on a run for the Osceola County Commission.  His campaign was successful and he was reelected in 2010.


Paul Henry, Lobbyist Against Red Light Cameras

FLSPaulHenryPaul Henry is a retired law enforcement officer who worked for the Florida Highway Patrol. During his 23 years, he worked many crashes as either a trooper, traffic homicide investigator, or squad supervisor. He has a great deal of expertise as to why vehicles crash based upon training and experience. He has spoken against the red light camera law here since 2011.  He has worked as a lobbyist against the camera scheme in recent years. Unlike the highly-paid local government lobbyists that speak to politicians using taxpayer dollars, his support comes in small increments of usually under $100 from citizens.


Henry Bentley, Ban the Cams

BanTheCams.org was created to organize, educate and equip local citizens with a sway to combat the abuse of power exercised by local and state governments’ use of red light cameras.

Through Henry’s efforts Apopka was recently pressured into lengthening the yellow light timing.

Henry has been instrumental in the fight against red light cameras through his tireless efforts.


Karen Jaroch, Tea Party Founder and Activist

FLSKarenJarochKaren Jaroch is a University of South Florida graduate and licensed professional engineer from Tampa, FL. In 2009 she co-founded a vibrant, active tea party and then co-led a successful campaign that defeated a local sales tax increase for light rail despite overwhelming odds. Her efforts led to her board appointment to the local transit agency HART.

During the 2012 election cycle she served as a field coordinator in the Tampa area building grassroots relations with conservative organizations while managing a top-producing volunteer phone bank and canvassing center.


Sharon Calvert, Citizen Advocate, Local Blogger

Sharon Co-Founded the Tampa Tea Party in 2009, has helped lead numerous efforts in Hillsborough county including NoTaxForTracks in 2010 to successfully defeat a local sales tax increase for light rail, and championing a county initiative that passed in 2012 requiring financial information be included on all future local referendums. She had the honor of testifying before the Congressional House Transportation Committee in 2011 on behalf of the taxpayer.


Phyllis Frey, American Coalition 4 Property Rights

FLSPhyllisFrey copyPhyllis Frey is the chairperson for the American Coalition 4 Property Rights, a grassroots organization that originated in Vero Beach, Florida, with members in seven Southeast counties covering all of the Treasure Coast.

As a retired commercial pilot and F.A.A. safety check airman, Phyllis formed AC4PR in 2012 to protect the Treasure Coast counties and municipalities from the President’s Council on Sustainable Development, signed into two Executive Orders #12872 and #13575, which includes all housing and transportation choices covering all urban and rural land.


John Canegata, Chairman of Virgin Islands GOP

FLSJohnCanegata John Canegata is Chairman of the Republican Party of the Virgin Islands and the owner of D & J Shooting Gallery LLC.  He returned to the Virgin Islands after serving in the United States Army.  He began a 20 year career at Hess Oil until the Environmental Protection Agency shut down the oil industry in the Virgin Islands.

During this time John co-hosted the morning talk show “The Week in Review” on WSTX 970 from 1999 -2005.  In September of this year, John was elected State Chair of the Virgin Islands Republican Party and is the owner of D & J Shooting Gallery on St. Croix.


 Laurence Vance, Author, Editor, Publisher

The author of twenty-three books, he has contributed over 500 articles and book reviews to both secular and religious periodicals.

He is a regular columnist, blogger, and book reviewer for LewRockwell.com, and also writes a column for the Future of Freedom Foundation. Mr. Vance is a policy adviser of the Future of Freedom Foundation and an associated scholar of the Ludwig von Mises Institute.

FLSLauraZorcLaura Zorc is co-founder of Florida Parents Against Common core.  In August of 2013 Laura was appointed by Governor Rick Scott to be a participant at the Education Accountability Summit as an expert on common core.  She was selected to be among 35 lawmakers and Florida education leaders.  Laura is a member of the Indian River REC.  She is serving a second year as Vice President on her children’s school PTA Board.  Outside of volunteering, Laura has worked the last 16 years as an independent operations management consultant.
